Wanna See Your Furry Friend’s Mug on Upstate New York Beer Label For a Great Cause?
Think your pet has what it takes to be a beer label superstar? Now's the time to have them shine.
Brown’s Brewing Company in Troy is teaming up with the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in Menands for the sixth annual Happy T’ales Beer Label Contest, and your furry, feathered, or even scaly sidekick could be the star.
Starting Wednesday (August 13th), pet parents can submit a favorite photo of their beloved companions for a shot at being featured on the label of Brown’s Best Friends Lager. In the past, only one lucky pet was selected each year. This time around, the special edition four-pack will feature four winning pets with the most votes.
According to News 10 ABC, the contest has become a community favorite and a fundraiser. Over the years, Happy T’ales has raised more than $180,000 for programs at the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society. Entry is $10 per pet, and each vote costs $1, so every dollar helps support the shelter’s mission.
The top four pets will not only get their moment of fame on the beer label, but they will also score tickets to the Humane Society’s Oktopurrfest on October 9th at Brown’s Revolution Hall in Troy.
Voting runs from August 13th through September 3rd, so there is plenty of time to rally friends, family, and coworkers to vote for your pet. Entries and voting are both available through the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society website.
