A new scholarship program has been implemented in a well-known chain restaurant to help employees' families. An Upstate New York family was rewarded this year after their father worked for the restaurant for nearly a quarter of a century.

Darden Restaurants which owns the Olive Garden introduced a scholarship program called the Next Course Scholarship. This was made to support the families of team members by providing scholarships to help their children afford higher education.

Which Olive Garden & What Family Was Given the Scholarships?

According to the Post Star, the Queensbury Olive Garden selected Scott Lebed who has been the general manager of the restaurant for twenty-four years to receive the scholarships. His sons Ashton and Cameron each received three thousand dollars.

Where Do The Sons Attend School?

Ashton is at the University of South Carolina majoring in sports medicine and Cameron is at the Rochester Institute of Technology studying biomedical engineering.

During their high school years, both graduated at the top of their high school classes. They both were on the student council. They received multiple letters in sports and they served as members of the National Society of High School Scholars. They were also involved in the Best Buddies International organization.

Throughout the country, the Olive Garden has given out ninety-seven-three thousand dollar scholarships.
