Now Hiring: Fun & Exciting Summer Jobs at Saratoga Race Course
One of my very first jobs was an usher at the Saratoga Race Course, and I loved it. There’s just something about the energy, the people, and that mix of history and excitement that makes working there feel more like fun than work.
If you’re looking for a summer job that comes with sunshine, great vibes, and a front-row seat to all the action, you’re in luck.
The New York Racing Association is hosting a one-day job fair today (Thursday, June 12th) from 3 to 7 p.m. at the 1863 Club. You’ll want to head in through the Wright Street entrance, also known as Gate 8. There’s a parking lot right next door, so it’s easy to get to.
You’ll be able to meet with reps from NYRA, Can Do Sports & Entertainment Cleaning, Integrated Staffing, and Union Square Events. There are numerous summer positions available, ranging from food service and guest relations to maintenance, security, and more.
Applicants must be at least 15 years old and have New York State Working Papers. If you’re interested in being a security guard, cashier, or betting clerk, you’ll need to be at least 18. Make sure to bring a photo ID and either your Social Security card or an approved I-9 document.
The July 4th Racing Festival runs from July 3rd through July 6th, and the full Saratoga summer meet kicks off July 10th and goes through Labor Day. It’s the perfect place to work hard, meet people, and enjoy an unforgettable summer.
