Saratoga Springs’ Eateries Vying For Best In US-How You Can Vote

Saratoga Springs is getting some national love from USA Today. They just released more nominations for their 2026 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and three local favorites made the list. Not bad for a little Spa City bragging rights.

First up, Sweet Mimi’s Cafe & Bakery on Phila Street is in the running for Best Cake Shop. If you’ve ever stopped in for brunch, you already know the baked goods are dangerous in the best way possible.

Their cakes come in flavors like Oreo, raspberry mascarpone ganache, tiramisu, and s’mores — basically the kind of desserts that make you say, “I’ll just have one bite,” and then somehow the slice disappears.

Chocolate lovers will also recognize Saratoga Chocolate Co., which landed a nomination for Best Chocolate Shop. The family-owned shop is known for handcrafted treats ranging from truffles and chocolate-covered nuts to homemade marshmallows and hot chocolate mixes. Walking in there without buying something should count as a superpower.

Best Doughnut Shop in the US?

And then there’s Darling Doughnuts on Broadway, nominated for Best Doughnut Shop. Their rotating menu gets wildly creative with flavors like chai latte, root beer float, Cosmic Brownie, Neapolitan, and even pizza-inspired doughnuts. Yes… pizza doughnuts.

All three Saratoga spots are competing against famous shops from cities across the country, including New York City, Chicago, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Washington, D.C.
