Popular Albany County Pizzeria Turning Off the Oven for Good
Sad Day for City of Cohoes
No one wants to see any business, let alone a Capital Region mom-and-pop style restaurant, close its doors for good, but sadly, that's what's happening at a popular pizza spot.
Recently, they shared the news with their valued customers that they have just a few days left to enjoy a meal in their final few days.
Pop's Pizza in Cohoes has been a staple in the community, serving the "Spindle City," Latham, Troy, Waterford, Watervliet, and more for the last 14 years.
For reasons the owner didn't disclose, Pop's Pizza at 148 Columbia St. will keep the oven on for a few more days before it shuts down for good.
Heartfelt Goodbye on Facebook
The owners posted this message to Facebook last week while inviting their valued customers in for a last bite of their delicious appetizers, subs, wings, and pies before Pop's Pizza closes on July 20th.
Dear Valued Customers,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the closing of Pop’s after 14 wonderful years of serving the communities of Cohoes, Latham, Troy, Waterford, and Watervliet. Our last day of operation will be July 20th, 2024. We want to extend our deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for your support and patronage.
You have made our dream a reality, and for that, we are forever grateful. We invite you to join us in these final days as we celebrate the end of this incredible journey. Let’s make these last moments together unforgettable.
Thank you for everything.
Sincerely,
The Pop’s Team
