Another snowmaker is making its way to the Capital Region and Upstate New York towards the end of the work week.

After a pretty slow winter as far as snow last year, this winter is getting off to a more typical start. We wrapped up November with a pretty good-sized snow fall on Thanksgiving Day throughout the Capital Region, western New York got hammered with a huge lake effect storm, and we are having a pretty cold stretch of weather to kick off December.

As we head into the first full week of December, another snow-maker is tracking towards the greater Albany Arew and Upstate New York.

Upstate New York Forecast Week of December 2, 2024

According to News Channel 13 temperatures will remain cold this week with highs in the 30s and lows in the 20s.

Our next chance for some snow will arrive on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service is calling for light to moderate snow throughout Upstate New York Wednesday night into Thursday morning impacting the morning commute. Here is what they are currently predicting for snowfall:

  • Albany: 1-2 inches
  • Glens Falls: 2-3 inches
  • Cobleskill: 1-2 inches
  • Oneonta: 2-3 inches
  • Caroga Lake: 4-6 inches
  • Camden: 6-8 inches
  • Deerfield: 4-6 inches
  • Binghamton: 1-2 inches
  • Watertown: 4-6 inches
