It’s A Go! New Store Replacing Legendary Grandma’s Pies in Colonie
Since 1977, Grandma's Pies and Restaurant served thousands of pies, especially around the holidays. In August 2020 the legendary restaurant closed for good. Final approval has been given to build a new store in its place.
Grandma's was a favorite for many families in the Capital Region located at 1273 Central Ave in Colonie.
What is Planned For the Legendary Grandma's Building?
The Town of Colonie Planning Board gave final approval for a Stewart's Shop to be built at 1273 Central Ave in place of Grandma's.
The new Stewart's will be a thirty-thousand square foot store. They will also build a four thousand four hundred and fifty thousand square foot gas station with twelve gas pumps and electric charging stations.
The new Stewart's Shop will hire fifteen employees and there will be space for fifty parking spots.
Stewart's Has Big Plans For 2025!
Stewart's Shops will take over all five Jolley stores in the Capital Region. There are two in Queensbury on Aviation Road and Glen Street, one in Lake George, and one at 2 Clifton Country Road in Clifton Park.
