Fowl Play! Cute Vid Shows Albany Cop Escorting Ducklings To Safety
Far too often, the videos we see involving police officers are tense, confrontational, violent, and for some people, hard to watch.
This is NOT one of them.
A special police escort in the City of Albany was caught on tape. The video shows a rather heartwarming moment as an Albany Police Officer gives a police escort to a mama duck and her ducklings at a busy intersection in Downtown Albany.
Protect and Swerve!
A resident in traffic shared the cute video on social media after witnessing 20-year APD veteran Jeremy Rundell patiently trailing behind a family of ducks in Downtown Albany, at the intersection of Broadway and State Street, on Thursday morning.
Rundell, whose beat in Albany involves patrolling some of the city's tougher streets, had one job when it came to getting these ducks across the street: Protect and Swerve—out of the way!

We screengrabbed a pic from the video and posted it on our Facebook page, and GNAtion seemed to enjoy captioning the lighthearted moment.

Fowl Play
A GNA listener, Kelli Serba, witnessed Officer Rundell's "fowl play" and couldn't help telling us how it made her feel, writing:
This officer walked down six blocks of State Street with these ducks to make sure they made it safely to the bottom, where there was grass. My road crew helped him part of the way. It was so cute!!
It's not always easy patrolling the streets of Albany, New York, or in the case of this mama and her ducklings, crossing the street!
Thank you to the men and women out there wearing blue; we appreciate you all!
