Could The Capital Region See Record Temps For Halloween?
After a weekend cool off, Halloween trick or treaters will need to find some ways to stay cool in their costumes later next week..
Usually on Halloween your costume would act as way to keep you warm as the chill of fall really starts to set in. Not this year! After a weekend cool down, temperatures will again start to creep back up and could near record highs when you head out with the kids to fill their candy buckets.
Albany Extended Forecast
According to News Channel 13, we will have pretty seasonable weather the next few days with a mix of sun and clouds and a high near 60 Saturday, with more sun and highs in the low 50s Sunday and Monday.
But then it is right back to the warmer autumn weather we have grown accustomed to this year. The extended WNYT forecast says temperatures will creep back up to 63 Tuesday, 72 on Wednesday, and then 74 on Thursday/Halloween and mostly sunny skies through the week.
If the forecast holds we could see near or record breaking temperatures for trick for treating: the record high for Albany for October 31st of 75 degrees was set in 2019, according to the National Weather Service.
Regardless of nearing a record high, Halloween looks like it will feel more like May 31st than October 31st.
