Delicious New York BBQ Chain Recognized For Best Ribs In State

A local Upstate New York favorite is getting recognition from foodie experts for their amazing ribs.

For me personally, replicating great BBQ is nearly impossible to do at home. You need at the very least a great smoker, a lot of BBQ know how, and a lot of patience to make great BBQ. I have none of the above!

So whenever I get the urge to eat some great ribs, or any great BBQ dish, I am heading out to my favorite local restaurant. And for many of us here in Upstate New York, I am guessing it is the same spot!

Which Upstate New York BBQ Chain Recognized For Best Ribs In NY?

No surprise here! The honor of best ribs in the state goes to Dinosaur Barbeque in Syracuse according to Lovefood! Now they honored the Dinosaur original eatery, but of course, their ribs are available statewide with additional locations in Troy, Rochester, Brooklyn, Buffalo, and New York City.

Local chain Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, which first opened in the 1980s, is a destination as well as a rib restaurant. Besides excellent, dry-rubbed, slow smoked St. Louis ribs that are lightly brushed in sticky barbecue sauce, it has a full bar, root beer on tap, and an upstairs outdoor patio.

For fans here in the Capital Region, the Troy location is known for its great ribs and BBQ and also for its great riverfront location. This time of year it is the perfect spot for an outdoor BBQ meal and a beer!
