It's officially that time of the year! Spirit Halloween is getting set to begin the 2025 Halloween season. Store opening signs are popping up all over the place and for the first time in a year it looks like Spirit will be in a familiar location here in the Capital Region.

This year Spirit Halloween is back inside of Crossgate Mall in Guilderland.  This location is opening up on the second level right near JCPenney. It is in the former Q's Landing Zone, a spot where they were set up in 2023. I absolutely loved them being in this location and am really looking forward to the 2025 displays.

Last year Spirit Halloween was absent from Crossgates Mall but was present in Colonie Center at the old Christmas Tree Shop location. I personally loved that it had taken over that spot. It felt very much like The Nightmare Before Christmas. Plus if you looked out of the spooky store you could see a cemetery that's on Central Ave. It was jsut so pleasing to the eye.

When can we expect Spirit Halloween to open up?

While most of the ones that you're seeing say "opening soon" that soon can vary depending on where you are. On their website it either says "coming soon" when you search your locations, but many of them say "open August" when you search for locations around the Capital Region.

It looks like there will be plenty of Spirit locations in the Capital Region this year. Not only is this location opening in August in Crossgates, but there will also be locations inside of Colonie Center at the old Nordstrom Rack, and another Colonie, NY at the former Pure Hockey store.

There will also be Spirit Halloween locations opening in Clifton Park and Schenectady for 2025. We will keep you posted if we learn of any others that are opening soon.
