New York State Police Searching for Individuals That Stole This 8,000 Pound Machine!

Burglary is defined as "entry into a building illegally with intent to commit a crime, especially theft." New York State Police are searching for suspects that may have been involved in a burglary of a large machine. Anyone with information regarding the incident are asked to contact State Police Troop B at 315-379-0012.

How does one steal a 9,000 pound construction excavator? Let's take a look at the scene of the crime.

At approximately 8am on Sunday November 26th, according to a post on the New York State Police Facebook page, Troopers responded to a burglary complaint in the town of Canton, NY. What was taken? For one, a 304D CR Caterpillar excavator but that's not all.

Take a look at the pictures below of a 2011 yellow and black Caterpillar 304DCR excavator with rubber tracks, two-foot bucket, and front push blade. The suspects also are accused of taking a black 2018 PJ/TR hydraulic tilt trailer approximately 20 feet in length. The owner of the residence reports last seeing the excavator on the trailer on 11/23/203.

Now State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation are seeking public assistances on this case of the missing Cat. The incident occurred at 5432 County Route 27, in the town of Canton.
