National Grid Bills Skyrocket Across Upstate New York
If you noticed that your National Grid Bill has gone up you are not alone. Folks from around Upstate New York have noticed steep increases in their energy bills and it doesn't look like it's going to get better any time soon. Bills have gotten so outrageous that it has prompted State Assemblyman Angelo Santabarbara to start asking questions. He's requested the state Comptroller, Tom DiNapoli, to look into exactly why everyone's bill is so high, according to Spectrum News 1.
We had several listeners share that they've seen large increases from December 2025 to January 2026. A few said their went up by $150, other's said $60, and a few others said it had nearly tripled.

We didn't ask for this. We shouldn't have to foot the bill for this while tech giants continue to get rich.
