The Tony Award winning musical about Michael Jackson will be hitting the Proctors stage this December and cast member Josh A. Dawson says audience members better be ready for an electrifying experience.

When you hear the name Michael Jackson you can immediately place yourself at a time and place when he made an impact on you. Whether it was watching him moonwalk for the first time, seeing one of his iconic music videos premiere or maybe you were even lucky enough to attend one of his massive world tours. There was a point in time when MJ ruled the world.

Now, 15 years after his death, a musical experience takes you through his getting ready for his Dangerous world tour. MJ The Musical will be at Proctors December 3rd through the 8th and brings with it an all-star cast that has not only graced the Broadway stage, but also television and movie screens.

One of those cast members in Josh A. Dawson. He portrays Michael's older brother Tito Jackson as well as award winning composer and producer Quincy Jones.

Dawson recently joined me to talk about what the folks of the Capital Region can expect when they see this show. He says that should expect and experience something they've never experienced before. He went on to say that it is done the way that Michael would have wanted his life to be portrayed through that music.

On playing the iconic characters of the late Tito Jackson and late Quincy Jones he said he feels honored. He said there is a lot of attention to detail when you're portraying a real life human who lived and had the type of impact that both Quincy Jones and Tito Jackson had. Being true to those people is very important.
