KISS ‘Takeover’ New York City for Final Concerts, Here’s What Fans Can Expect
50 years ago the band KISS played their first concert at a club called Popcorn in Queens, New York. Five decades, 30 gold albums and 2,000 shows later the hottest band in the world is calling it quits.
The End of the Road Tour comes full circle on December 1st and 2nd in Manhattan and KISS aren't just taking over Madison Square Garden, they are taking over the whole city. From KISS pizzas to free tattoos and even a fleet of KISS taxis, here's what you can expect.
The KISS New York City Takeover is underway and festivities will conclude on Sunday December 3rd. There are a dozen different "activations" KISS fans will be able to experience.
For starters, the KISS Pop-Up Store will be open 11/29-12/3 and is an immersive KISS experience featuring memorabilia, apparel, accessories and collectible items. You will find this located just blocks away from MSG at 248 West 37th Street.
Here are some of the events taking place in Manhattan as KISS come to the end of the road.
- New York Post commemorative newspaper at various locations (11/29-12/1)
- KISS Themed Pizza and collectible KISS pizza box (11/30-12/3 at 27 Prince Street A)
- FREE KISS Flash Tattoos at Inked NYC (12/1-12/2 11a-7p)
Fans can recreate classic KISS album covers and photos by visiting these locations:
- Dressed to Kill album cover location at 23rd & 8th
- Empire State Building photo location
- City Hall photo recreation
- Central Park photo recreation
