One of Baseball's greatest minds

ESPN legend Tim Kurkjian joined Big Board Sports with Rodger Wyland on Friday in his weekly spotlight to break down the Wild Card round and look ahead to the ALDS. Tim had a front row seat of all the action in the Wild Card series between the Yankees and the Red Sox as he was calling the game for ESPN radio alongside Yankee great Michael Kay.

After what I saw in person at Yankee Stadium during game one of the Wild Card round, it's hard to imagine that team not going to the World Series, but as Tim mentions the Tampa Bay Rays are no easy defeat.

The Yankees recently announced Gerrit Cole would be on the mound in game 1, it will be his first taste of action in this 2026 postseason.
