One Rare Memorabilia Item from Every NY Yankees-Dodgers World Series
For the 12th time in Major League Baseball history, the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers will play each other in the World Series.
No two franchises have met more often in the Fall Classic than the Yankees and Dodgers. They first played in 1941, when the Dodgers were still in Brooklyn. The original Subway Series between New York and Brooklyn happened seven times in total, with the Yankees winning six of them.
The Dodgers moved to Los Angeles in 1958, and five seasons later, the two franchises would meet again in the World Series. Of the four times that New York and Los Angeles have met, both teams have won two times.
So, in total, of the 11 matchups between the Yankees and Dodgers in the history of the World Series, New York holds an 8-3 all-time record.

Clearly, there's a great deal of history in this Fall Classic matchup. Amazingly enough, there are memorabilia items that ravenous baseball fans have kept, and preserved, from each of the respective series.
To find these artifacts, I logged onto eBay, and typed each year that they played into the search bar, followed by the phrase world series.
I was blown away by the search results. Ticket stubs, game programs, photos (some autographed), jackets/t-shirts and more flooded my computer screen. A huge credit to the eBay users who were able to preserve these items, as some of them are over 80 years old.
