Raanan on ‘The Drive': Week 3 Was ‘Stabilizer’ for Daboll, New York Giants
The New York Giants needed a victory on Sunday afternoon in the worst way.
The team's Week 1 defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Vikings was nothing short of pathetic. New York played a much better game in Week 2 against Washington, but a bizarre roster decision left the Giants without a healthy kicker, and they lost the game by a field goal.

In the days following the Week 2 loss, the negativity began to pile up around Big Blue. Fans were beginning to question players, and apparently, players were beginning to question the coaching staff.
In the words of ESPN's Jordan Raanan, Brian Daboll's command of the locker room was "hanging by a thread" after last weekend.
With their backs against the wall, the Giants responded in their game against the Cleveland Browns this past weekend. Granted, the game did not start in the best fashion, as New York fumbled the opening kickoff, and Cleveland scored a touchdown on the next play.
From that point on, however, the Giants found their rhythm. The team scored three touchdowns on offense, two of which came on passes from Daniel Jones to Malik Nabers.
The Browns began to mount a comeback in the second half, but the Giants' defense stood tall, finishing with an eye-popping eight sacks in the victory.
Coming off of the Week 3 win, ESPN's Jordan Raanan joined The Drive on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the state of the New York Giants. Scroll below to listen to that interview:
