Electric New York Yankees’ Newcomer Makes History in First Three Games
In his first week in the Big Apple, Jazz Chisholm Jr. has already become a big-time performer for the New York Yankees.
Chisholm, who was acquired from the Miami Marlins on July 27th, has immediately made an impact with the Bombers. After recording a hit in his first game as a Yankee, Chisholm hit two home runs in his second game, a 14-4 drubbing of the Philadelphia Phillies.
One night later, he hit two more, including this massive blast in the later innings:
Chisholm's four home run feat was more than just impressive; it was historic. Chisholm became the first Yankee in history to belt four homers in his first three games with the team.
How amazing is that? In a franchise that has featured such feared hitters as Ruth, Gehrig, Maris, Mantle and Judge, Jazz Chisholm Jr. now stands alone in this subsection of Yankees' history.
On accomplishing this feat, Chisholm Jr. said the following to MLB.com:
“That’s sick, to be part of the history of the New York Yankees. It’s one of the sickest things anybody in baseball could hear.” - Jazz Chisholm Jr. via MLB.com

On paper, there's a lot to like about the marriage of Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the New York Yankees. He's a versatile defender, who, at the very least, has proven that he can play second base, shortstop, third base and center field at a high level.
He's also versatile at the plate, as though he's hit in the middle of the Yankees' lineup thus far, he also spent the majority of his time in Miami as the club's leadoff hitter.
He brought confidence, swagger and energy to a club that needed a boost, and he's quickly becoming a fan-favorite in New York because of it.
