The first --- and possibly only --- season for Stefon Diggs with the Houston Texans has come to a premature end.

Diggs, a ten-year veteran in the National Football League, has suffered a season-ending injury. Take a look at this view of how the injury occurred:

The term "non-contact injury" usually never leads to a good result, and that is the case once again. Diggs suffered a torn ACL and will miss the rest of the season, coach DeMeco Ryans announced Tuesday per ESPN.

Diggs made an immediate impact on the Texans' offense in the eight games in which he played. He is currently seventh in the NFL in catches (47) this season, and was second on the Texans in receiving yards (496), per the report from ESPN.

Diggs was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He played five seasons in Minnesota, finishing with over 1,000 receiving yards in each of the final two years.

Diggs was traded to the Buffalo Bills ahead of the 2020 season, and the star wideout immediately clicked with Bills' QB, Josh Allen. Diggs finished his four-year tenure with Buffalo with 5,372 receiving yards and 37 touchdowns, two totals that were higher than the figures he put up over five years in Minnesota.

Following the 2023 NFL season, Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans. Diggs and the Texans agreed to a contract restructure before the season which, unfortunately, means that Diggs will be a free agent after the 2024 campaign.

We wish the best of luck to Stefon Diggs in his recovery from this terrible injury.
