Which rookie can win your fantasy championship?
With the NFL season right around the corner, most people have already begun planning for their upcoming fantasy seasons. Whether a dynasty or normal fantasy league, rookies often have a huge impact on winning teams. Brock Bowers finished with the second most points among tight ends, Jayden Daniels was a top 5 quarterback, and Brian Thomas was a top 5 wide receiver. Choosing the right high risk high reward rookie could lead to an easy path to the championship, but who's the right rookie to take that chance on this year?
Ashton Jeanty RB Las Vegas Raiders
Almost every time the top running back prospect is drafted early in the first round, fantasy owners begin to salivate. We saw it among the last few years with Bijan Robinson, Saquon Barkley, Ezekiel Elliot, etc. There's no reason to doubt Jeanty as a top fantasy back in the 2025 season. After a historic year at Boise State, it's almost a lock that Jeanty is a top 3 running back off the board in your league, and he will be well worth that early pick.
Omarion Hampton RB Los Angeles Chargers
Hampton most likely jumped up on almost every draft board after the first couple weeks in July, with the news breaking that RB Najee Harris suffered a serious eye injury. Hamptons production in this Chargers offense has no limit now that Harris' status is questionable to say the least. Expect him to go in the 2nd or 3rd round in most drafts.
Tetairoa McMillan WR Carolina Panthers
McMillan has all the tools to be a dominant number one wide receiver, strong hands, great catch radius, and a huge frame at 6'4". His raw athleticism and size are factors you can't teach, and surely his route running and footwork will continue to improve as the season goes on. Bryce Young silenced any doubts on his ability to play quarterback with a strong second half of his season last year without a pure number one wide receiver. Naturally McMillan will be Young's best friend in the Panthers offense this season.
