Yet again just when you think the New York Giants are promising and heading in the right direction, they get fans hopes up and lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday night.  Daniel Jones had a good game but in the big moments he fell short.  It was good to see stud rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers make some big plays and catches and the defense for the most part was good again.  But the Giants aren't going anywhere and it has been another long and brutal season so far and will continue to be.  Below is my quick take on this as seen in The Times Union:

The Giants were competitive and well coached Monday night and had a chance to win in Pittsburgh, but once again just not good enough. It’s been the theme to the season so far that the Giants play well at times with nothing to show for it. The Giants are 2-6 for the second straight year under head coach Brian Daboll. It won't get much better the second half of the season and when it's over Co-owner John Mara needs reevaluate his head coach and decide if a change is necessary or press forward into an off season where you will have to draft a new quarterback.

Next up for the Giants are their NFC East divisional rival the Washington Commanders who are very good and have beaten the Giants already once this year.  However Daniel Jones does play very well vs the Commanders.  We will see what happens on Sunday.
